The Imagine Bio System Power Filter System works in three stages: Mechanical: Two layers of polyester filter floss filters out suspended particles Chemical: Activated carbon removes many dissolved contaminants and discoloration form the water. The even distribution of carbon throughout the polyester floss filter makes the carbon highly effective. Biological: Biological filtration occurs mainly in the blue sponge. Aerobic bacteria develop on the surface of the sponge, removing contaminants like ammonia and nitrites. Other Features Include: •Floating OXY surface skimmer – Automatically adjust to water level, removing organic film and dust from the water surface •Adjustable Skimmer Valve – Controls intake of water from three levels, which allows water intake from the middle and bottom of the aquarium providing complete water circulation and filtration •Dual Slotted Filter Box – Allows dual cartridge filtration •Maintenance Free Moto – Automatically starts after power outage •Flow Control Knob – Regulates flow of water •Flip-Up Dust Cover – Free Standing cover for easy cartridge changes •For Freshwater or Marine aquariums
